The Item Upgrader in World of Warcraft
The War Within introduced two gear upgrade currencies: Valorstones and Harbinger Crests. These currencies can be exchanged at the item upgrader NPCs, Cuzolth and Vaskarn.
Each item may be upgraded up to its maximum level only once for the slot. Then upgrades to the slot will be cheaper. The pity system, which was introduced with The War Within, also reduces the extreme variance in upgrades.
Upgrades
